All lanes have fully reopened on the A40 following an earlier collision between a van and a crash barrier near Greenford Flyover.

Delays were still being reported on the A40 northbound and on the A406 in both directions at around 7pm.

Traffic reports show A40 westbound tailbacks to Northern Roundabout.

On the A406 northbound queues to Chiswick Roundabout and southbound back to Neasden Lane.

Transport for London tweeted all lanes had fully reopened.

The accident at the junction with Leaver Gardens happened just after 3pm on Thursday (February 9) afternoon.

One lane was blocked while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Police said there were no reported injuries.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “Police were called to the A40 in Greenford at 3.17pm on Thursday, 9 February to reports of a road traffic collision.

“Officers attended and found a van in collision with a crash barrier.

“There were no reports of any injuries.”
