A crash involving two cars caused chaos on the A40 on Thursday morning (March 2) during rush hour with delays stretching from RAF Northolt back to the Denham Roundabout.

The Metropolitan Police were called to the damage only crash on the A40 eastbound at around 6.07am.

One lane was closed after the crash and was reopened at around 8.10am.

A statement from the Met said: “We were called to a damage only collision between two cars on the A40 eastbound at 6.07am on Thursday, March 2.

“All lanes re-opened at 8.09am.”

Delays still remained into the morning after the lane reopened.
