A car overturned on the A40 this morning (January 12).

Metropolitan Police was called to the A40 near White City at 8.15am to reports of a collision which left one car overturned, with pictures on social media showing the car on its roof.

Officers said one male was left injured although the extent of his injuries are not yet known at this stage.

London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London Fire Brigade (LFB) are also at the scene, according to police.

The collision caused traffic queues heading westbound on the A40 out from White City, with presenter Jeremy Vine posting a video showing the extent of the traffic.

There are reportedly still traffic queues heading out from the Northern Roundabout on the A40.

The A40 experienced traffic issues yesterday following a collision involving a police van.

Footage was taken showing the moment the van was towed away during rush hour on Wednesday January 11.

It was one of multiple incidents which caused eight mile queues.

A man was taken to hospital with a head injury, although officers do not believe his condition is serious.

A Metropolitan police spokesman said: “Police were called at around 08:15hrs on Thursday, 12 January, to a collision on the A40 in the White City area.

“Officers, LAS and LFB attended the scene.

“A man was taken to hospital suffering a head injury.

“His condition is not believed to be serious.

“No other vehicle is thought to have been involved.”
