Cranes and construction workers take over Uxbridge town centre as Aviva Investors set to work on a £30 million redevelopment.

The project, on Belmont Road, will create a 125,000 sq ft office scheme, designed to suit one corporate occupier or can be let to multiple businesses.

After receiving full planning consent in June 2015, the “first class office scheme” is due for completion in early winter 2016.

Jon Ashcroft, director and head of South East and Regional Offices at Aviva Investors, said: “We made the decision to re-develop Belmont, as we believe it will offer market leading office space, once completed.

“This elegantly designed, high spec development is a true town centre location, being minutes away from Uxbridge tube station and yet equally well connected to Heathrow Airport , the national motorway network and Central London.

“It will have the added bonus of substantial, on-site parking and large flexible floor plates.”

The development, whose neighbours include Coca Cola and Xerox, is set to achieve a BREEAM excellent rating for energy efficiency.

It will include an additional fifth floor, two roof terraces and a full height atrium, as well as 171 secure basement car parking space and 116 cycle bays.

The state of the art development will include renewable energy technology, energy efficient building services, a green roof and landscaped private terraces.

" Hillingdon Council is actively encouraging investment in Uxbridge Town Centre to strengthen its position further.

"This is another great development in the town centre and will serve to support the growth of Uxbridge as a commercial centre as well as providing employment opportunities for local people."
