A man has been charged with the murder of a 62-year-old man from Chelsea who was found dead in Hyde Park after being the 'victim of an assault.'
The victim, Jairo Medina, was found in the park by a member of the public on the morning of Friday, August 12.
Hani Khalaf, of no fixed address, has been charged with killing Mr Medina and was due to appear at Wimbeldon Magistrates' Court on Saturday (August 20).
Khalaf was arrested and taken into custody on Thursday (August 18).
Mr Medina, a professonal carer , was found by a member of the public at around 5.50am and when officers attended the scene he was deceased.
A post mortem carried out at Westminster Mortuary on Saturday August 13 was unable to determine the cause of death but did reveal Mr Medina had been the victim of an assault.
