A trial date has been set for a teenager accused of shooting dead a man in Shepherd’s Bush .

Hanad Mohamed appeared at the Old Bailey on Monday (January 16) after being charged with the murder Ionut Lazar in Askew Road.

The 18-year-old, of Parlaunt Road, Slough, denied charges of murder and robbery.

His trial is set to begin on July 3.

Metropolitan Police initially believed Romanian national Mr Lazar had been fatally stabbed , before the results of a post mortem revealed the 28-year-old’s cause of death was a bullet wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police were called to the scene at 2.40am in the early hours of October 22 last year and said at the time a number of people had forced entry into the Askew Road property.

Mr Lazar had arrived in the country just two days before he was shot and killed.
