1. The Old Orchard

Winning the crowds over with its beautiful lake views and excellent atmosphere, The Old Orchard stole top spot for people visiting this part of London for Uxbridge, despite it being away and out from the town.

A great list of food and drink was mentioned by reviewers, who rated it excellent.

2. Javitri

The Asian fusion restaurant Javitri came a close second from foodies, who said it "never fails to disappoint".

Some even recommended it for an alternative Sunday lunch, with "great food at very reasonable prices".

3. Bar Italia

Bar Italia, an upmarket restaurant-bar, has opened in High Street, Uxbridge

This Italian (did the name give it away?) has a thriving evening atmosphere and has some of the best cocktails in Uxbridge.

Reviewers noted the chilli vodka cocktails, but if that sounds a little too lethal, there has been a nod to the "attentive staff" and "good vibes".

Not to mention great appetizers.

4. Lumbini

A Nepalese restaurant , this scored highly in TripAdvisor for its rich flavours.

"Amazingly fresh and tasty", "excellent starters" and "great food" are just some of the praises the spot has received.

If you're a real foodie who like to try something different, this sounds like the place for you.

5. Nabrasa Brazilian Dining Experience

One for the meat lovers, this Brazilian BBQ place is all you can eat, so there's plenty of time to feast your eyes on the variety of South American dishes.

Get your fill of "well marinated meats" in an eatery with an "excellent concept".

6. Nonna Rosa III

Another hearty Italian, Nonna Rosa is the perfect after shopping spot in the middle of the town.

People who have dined their recently said "it turned out to be one of the best food [they] have ever eaten", while another said, "a large selection of quality food".

It looks as if this Italian won't fail you.

7. Martin's Place

A small but "excellent" restaurant, Martin's Place wins over visitors to the little French bistro with its wonderful menu.

From deep fried camembert to great sized steaks, it's been highly recommended by visitors for its "excellent service and good quality food" - with some even getting a quick visit from the chef!

8. Curry Culture

Rock up to Curry Culture in Rockingham Parade, Uxbridge

Noted for being a great bar as well as restaurant, the Indian food establishment Curry Culture will "not disappoint", according to foodies.

Their "excellent customer service" and "authentic Indian food" has been noted by visitors, many of which who said they will be returning in the near future.

9. Popiandy's

Nothing makes us Brits more happy than a reliable, tasty cafe.

Whether it's the breakfast, or the light bites, visitors to Popiandy's in the Pavilion, it's said to be "clean, busy and great food".

Another winner is how fast the food seems to be served, a success with people nipping in for a quick lunch.

10. Red Iron Burgers

A staple for Uxbridge residents, Red Iron Burgers will give foodies exactly what they want.

Whether it's a big gathering or a few of you craving a burger on a Friday night, this is a reliable spot which TripAdvisor users have said has "good burgers, good service, nice friendly staff, and a nice busy feel".

11. Jack's Fish and Chips

A food list isn't complete without a classic chippy, and this is the one Uxbridge visitors have chosen.

A "large portion" of "tasty" chips has been mentioned, along with "fresh and juicy" fish with chips which "weren't soggy".

Top this with "friendly staff" and we have our perfect takeaway.
