More than 100 people were arrested on the first day of the Notting Hill Carnival , and five people were stabbed, police have said.
Four people, including two 15-year-old boys, were stabbed during the space of just over half an hour on Sunday (August 28) afternoon.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested for GBH following the stabbing of another teenager, whose injuries were initially thought to be life-threatening.
There had been a total of 105 arrests as of 10pm on Sunday, according to figures from the Met Police , including two for GBH and four for sexual offences.
The vast majority of arrests were for drugs offences (74) or for possession of a knife (24), with some people arrested for more than one offence.
Police said five people had been stabbed - four of them in the space of just over half an hour - in the following four incidents.
Wornington Road
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Wornington Road at 4.25pm.
A 15-year-old boy was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. His condition was critical but is no longer believed to be life-threatening.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of GBH and taken to a central London police station. Police said enquiries are ongoing.
Portobello Road
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Portobello Road, at the junction with Munro Mews, at 4.28pm.
A 20-year-old man was taken to a central London hospital, where police said his condition is not life-threatening.
No one has been arrested and enquiries continue.
Ladbroke Grove
Police were called at 5.09pm to reports of a stabbing in Ladbroke Grove at the junction with Treverton Street.
A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were found with stab wounds and taken to a central London hospital.
Police said neither boy's condition was believed to be life-threatening, and no arrests had been made.
Kensal Rise
A man presented himself to officers at Kensal Rise tube station and told them he had been stabbed resulting in a cut to the head.
Police said he declined to provide further details and subsequently left the scene. Enquiries are ongoing.
