A body found near the tracks at Syon Lane this morning was that of a man, police have confirmed.

The grisly discovery was reported to police and the London Ambulance Service at 8.53am, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said the man's death was not being treated as suspicious.

"Officers are now working to establish how the man came to be near the tracks and inform his family," he added.

The man's age and identity have not yet been confirmed.

Train services through the station were disrupted this morning but South West Trains has said they are now running normally.
