A teenager has been injured by a sharp object during what police described as a "scuffle" at Reading Festival.

The 18-year-old was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital following the incident involving a group of men during a live music performance.

Thames Valley Police officers were called to the festival site in Richfield Avenue at 10.15pm on Friday (August 25).

It is not clear which act the man was watching at the time.

The teen was treated by medics on scene at the festival before being taken to hospital where he was seen and discharged.

Thames Valley Police is investigating the incident and asking anyone with any information to phone 101 and quote URN 326 (26/8).
