A British father who was killed in the Stockholm terror attack has been described as a "talented, compassionate and caring" person.

Chris Bevington, 41, was one of four people who died when a lorry mowed down pedestrians in a busy shopping district of the Swedish capital on Friday.

Mr Bevington lived in Stockholm with his family and worked as a director with music streaming service Spotify.

FULL POLICE FUNERAL FOR WESTMINSTER ATTACK VICTIM PC KEITH PALMER

Pc Keith Palmer, who was murdered in the Westminster terror attack, will be honoured with a full police funeral on Monday.

The 48-year-old was stabbed to death by Khalid Masood as he carried out his duties on the cobbled forecourt of the Palace of Westminster.

His coffin will be taken from the Palace of Westminster, where it has lain in rest overnight, to Southwark Cathedral for the funeral on Monday, followed by a private cremation.

BENEFITS REASSESSMENT 'FOR THOUSANDS OF DISABLED WITH WORSENING CONDITIONS'

Thousands of disabled people who suffer from progressively worsening conditions will face reassessment for their benefits this year, new figures show.

Campaigners and MPs are now demanding changes to stop those with such conditions being repeatedly reassessed to claim personal independence payments (PIP).

Between April and October, 3,500 people suffering progressive conditions rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's disease and motor neurone disease were reassessed for PIP, according to a written parliamentary question from Labour MP Madeleine Moon.

PARENTS ASKED TO PAY FOR TEXTBOOKS DUE TO SCHOOL FUNDING GAPS, POLL FINDS

Parents are being asked to pay for textbooks, art materials and to buy tickets for school plays and sports events, as schools attempt to plug funding gaps, a survey suggests.

It also indicates around one in six are asking mums and dads for cash to help with the running of their child's school.

One teacher told teaching unions that pupils were being asked to take photos of homework on their phones in order to save money, while another said they had to cancel a gymnastics lesson as the hall was being leased out.

UK TOPS G7 NATIONS FOR ECONOMY GROWTH AND EMISSIONS DECLINE

The UK has been the most successful of the G7 group of wealthy nations in boosting its economy and cutting climate emissions in the past 25 years, a report suggests.

In the quarter of a century since the signing of the United Nations climate convention at the Rio Earth Summit, UK economic output per person has more than doubled, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) data show.

The increase is the biggest of major nations in the G7, which also include the US and Germany.

The view from the summit of Snowdon has been named the UK's best sight.

Snowdonia, the mountainous region which features the highest peak in Wales at 1,085 metres, was voted number one in a poll of more than 2,500 people to mark the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone.

CRESSIDA DICK TO TAKE CHARGE AT METROPOLITAN POLICE

Cressida Dick's tenure at the head of Scotland Yard begins on Monday when she formally takes charge of the country's largest police force.

Her first major public engagement will be to attend the funeral of Pc Keith Palmer, who was stabbed to death in the Westminster terror attack last month.

Ms Dick was named as the first female commissioner in the Metropolitan Police's 188-year history in February.

FEARS GROW FOR 'DIABETIC' GIRL, NINE, MISSING FROM HOSPITAL

Fears are mounting for the safety of a sick nine-year-old girl who went missing after being taken to hospital in need of urgent medical care.

The Metropolitan Police has issued a plea for information after girl vanished from St Mary's hospital in Paddington, London, shortly after arriving to see medics on Sunday evening.

Scotland Yard said the girl attended the hospital accompanied by her parents and a younger brother at around 5.40pm after she fell ill.
