M25 motorists heading to Heathrow Airport were stuck in two-hour delays on Wednesday morning (October 11).

A crash between two cars closed three lanes at around 8am - they reopened an hour later as delays mounted.

The accident happened just before the M25 junction anticlockwise for the A3113 Airport Way / Horton Road (Heathrow Terminal 4).

Rush hour queues of 13 miles, reaching back from Stanwell to junction 17 for Maple Cross, stalled motorists travelling to Heathrow .

Highways England confirmed lanes one, two and three were closed to allow the services to deal with the collision.

All lanes reopened at around 9.10am but Highways England warned motorists to expect two-hour delays in the area and find alternative routes where possible.
