  • Monday, April 17 - Easter Monday.
  • Monday, May 1 - Early May Bank Holiday.
  • Monday, May 29 - Spring Bank Holiday.
  • Monday, August 28 - Summer Bank Holiday.
  • Monday, December 25 - Christmas Day.
  • Tuesday, December 26 - Boxing Day.

Bank Holidays 2017: An extra day off could be on the calendar this year thanks to The Queen 

The extra bank holiday could happen after it was proposed by Conservative Andrew Rosindell, MP for Romford.

He said it would be a "missed opportunity" not to have an extra bank holiday and mark the milestone.

People could celebrate by organising traditional street parties and events, he added.
