The cost of living is a big issue to many people in the Ealing borough. In the numerous surveys we have done, local residents have told us that they want more certainty with their finances.

Under Labour’s plans they would hike council tax. However, if the people of this borough elect a Conservative Administration, after the council elections in May, we will freeze Council Tax for the next four years .

The Conservatives proposed this 4-year freeze at last week’s council meeting and Labour voted against it. Cutting out the appalling waste by this Labour council, makes the freeze affordable. They spent £2.5million building an unused car park in Southall , which we will sell; they employ too many consultants and interim staff; they even spent £13,000 on a Town Hall Christmas tree . This waste has to stop.

This means that the Conservatives will have frozen council tax for 10 years, from 2009 to 2019.

Conservatives started the freeze in 2009 when we last ran the Town Hall. The current Conservative-led government has given this council a grant specifically to freeze council tax for the past four years; and we will freeze it for the next four years.
