A classic Ford Mustang Convertible owned by Game of Thrones star Charles Dance will go under the hammer on 5th December.

The 1967 Mustang is expected to fetch £25,000 to £30,000 at the Classic Car Auctions event in Leamington Spa, and is currently owned by Dance, who played evil Tywin Lannisterr in the hit television series.

Redditch-born Dance is perhaps best known for his portrayal of the patriarch of the wealthy family, but is a known car fan having appeared as the 'Star in a Reasonably Priced Car' in BBC's Top Gear.

The Ford Mustang is not the only celebrity car to go under the hammer at the auction. A 2007 Range Rover Sport designed and first owned by David Beckham is estimated at just £23,000. The SUV, which features a plaque with the former England captain's name on, was given to Beckham's sister after the former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder upgraded his car.

Other highlights of the auction include a 1995 Ferrari 348 Spider, one of only 1,090 built, listed from just £40,000.

A rare 1978 Saab 96L Souvenir V4 is listed as £15,000 and has just 3,000 miles on the clock - making it one of the rarest and best-condition examples of the rare Swedish car.

CCA general manager, Guy Lees-Milne, said: “We have a fantastic selection of classic and modern cars on offer in our final sale of the year, many with fascinating histories and provenance. Cars like this always prove in high demand at auction and therefore we expect a lot of interest. It’s definitely one of our best catalogues yet and should be a great way to end our first year of classic car auctions.”

Those not able to attend the sale in person this weekend can register to bid online or by phone, or by leaving a commission bid with CCA before the sale.
