A vulnerable woman went missing from a central London hospital on bank holiday Sunday.

The Metropolitan Police is appealing to trace Sushma Lal, 43, who was last seen at 8pm on Sunday, 27 August at St Mary's Hospital, Westminster .

She is described as an Asian female, with long dark hair which may be tied in a bun and is around 5ft 4ins tall and of large build.

At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a black and white horizontal striped top and dark trousers.

There are increasing concerns for her safety and wellbeing and the police urge anyone with information on her whereabouts to call 101 or Missing People on 116000.
