Felix Magath admitted his Fulham side are 'too nice' after watching them slump to a home defeat against Millwall.
The Cottagers were beaten for the second week in a row as Martyn Woolford's first-half goal earned the Lions the points.
Magath's men dominated for long spells but failed to find a way past visiting keeper David Forde.
"Ipswich and Millwall have shown us to go in, tackle and clear the situation," said the German. "We’re too cosy and too nice.
"It’s more physical footballl than in the Premier League but that is not surprising. It can be a problem with youngsters.
"When you start a season in the second league you have to take a philosophy and every philosophy has its strength and weakness.
"I’m trying to prepare Fulham for promotion to the Premier League and to finish in the top half. I decided to take young players into the squad and I’m very happy with them and very glad how they worked.
"I hope they go on working and they will not be too disappointed and lose their confidence. I’m sure we’ll develop with that team and make our points. If we scored, I have no doubt we’d have gone on to win."
