There was no shortage of rain, but youngsters didn't let the lack of sunshine stunt their creativity as they crafted a towering rainbow at Hounslow's Treaty Centre yesterday.

As the downpours continued outside the shopping centre, children brought some cheer to shoppers within by creating the multicoloured arch to display there.

They also got to make their own mini rainbows at the half-term event to take home and brighten up their bedrooms.

The free workshop was part of a day of The Wizard of Oz themed fun at the shopping complex, where a stilt-walking Scarecrow and Tin Man greeted shoppers during the afternoon.
