Youngsters compete at Maths Challenge

YOUNGSTERS pitted their maths skills against each other in an annual brain-busting contest.

YOUNGSTERS pitted their maths skills against each other in an annual brain-busting contest.

The maths challenge was hosted by Abbotsfield School, Hillingdon where students had to complete a number of problem-solving challenges and collaboration was key.

Haydon School, Wiltshire Lane, Eastcote won, beating the hosts by half a point. Bishops Ramsey School, Hume Way, Ruislip, was third – the first time they have been placed in the contest for 10 years.

Sixteen schools took part, a mixture of private and comprehensives.
