Fifteen-year-old Brent resident Halema Hussain was among 53 other young people from across London who were presented with awards and certificates at the London Football Journeys (LFJ) annual award ceremony.

Thanks to Peabody funding, the youngsters took part in LFJ’s 14-week programme, which works with young people to break down social and economic barriers through football and film making.

These experiences gave Halema and her friends the opportunity to represent their community on a stage they may never have had the chance to do so.

Halema, a pupil at Ark Elvin Academy, said: "It changed me in ways I never even thought of. I’ve improved every bit of myself and it’s an amazing transformation."
