Seeing as the media highlights the misgivings of youth I'd like to share what I and my assistant saw, as stall-holders, at Acton Town Hall Christmas Fair.

There were a number of young men students from Featherstone School who were displaying their artwork (some of it quite excellent too).

They happily showed me and explained every single piece.

All day they were forthright, very presentable and articulate to the public.

I believe the community and this country needs people like this. They represent a culture that is both wel-come and needed, unlike the yob culture the media is full of at present.

This letter may also serve as a reminder to young people that you may think behaviour is unimportant and nobody notices, but actually yes, people do notice and it is important if you are to have a successful life.

I should also like to mention the male schoolteacher who did an excel-lent job of overseeing his students' exemplary behaviour.
