WHITTON School's sports hall was turned into a crime scene on Friday last week when the caretaker was found dead on the ground with an empty bottle beside him.

But it wasn't a real-life scene but a workshop where year 10 students turned super sleuths to try to find out who killed their valued school member.

The students were shown the basic techniques of fingerprinting, footprint taking, DNA sampling and blood testing.

They used their newly-acquired skills to solve the crime.

It is the third year the school in Percy Road has held the popular detective session run by a company called CSI Workshop.
