A man, believed to be a construction worker, is recovering in hospital after he was injured in a fall at Chiswick.

The man who is believed to be in his 20s was treated by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) before being rushed to the major trauma centre at St Mary's Hospital, yesterday (10) afternoon.

Two other patients were also treated at the scene. 

The incident took place at a construction site on Colonial Drive off Bollo Lane.

A LAS spokesman said: “We were called at 13.50 to reports of an industrial accident near Bollo Lane.

“We sent two responders by car, an ambulance crew, a duty officer and London's Air Ambulance to the scene.

“We treated three patients at the scene.

“A man was taken to St Mary's hospital, a major trauma centre, as a priority, escorted by the doctor from London's Air Ambulance”

Police said they were called to reports of a man injured in an industrial accident at 2.05pm on June 10, to Colonial Drive, off Bollo Lane, to a construction site.

A police spokesman said: "A man at the scene was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

"He is believed to be in his 20s.

"His injuries are not believed to be life changing or life threatening."

Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are due to investigate the incident.

In June 2013, Graham Construction were awarded a £20m contract by developers Bellway Homes to build Chiswick Point on Colonial Drive.
