Today NoTRAG learned - like everyone else - that the decision on Heathrow expansion won't be made before January 2009.
Another broken promise then. No surprise there!
We would just love to believe Geoff Hoon - just love to think he'll be reading all those 70,000 responses - or even an executive summary but here we've learned to be some-what sceptical.
Somehow we don't think Geoff Hoon is going to spend his holidays thinking about the Heathrow decision.
Our lives have been on hold for six years - quite intolerable for us all.
This Government needs to make a decision sooner rather than later - the right and only possible decision - to say NO to any further expansion at Heathrow.
Geoff Hoon knows the opposition to Heathrow expansion grows daily.
Maybe he might even be persuaded that the social and environmental consequences of continued unsustainable expansion at Heathrow are too outrageous for any civilised country to contemplate in peacetime.
