You can enjoy a year's free tennis coaching in Hounslow, no strings attached (figuratively speaking), beginning this weekend.

Weekly lessons for those of all ages and abilities will begin in Lampton Park, Hounslow, this Sunday (October 26).

You don't even need a racket, as equipment will be provided free of charge at the park courts, in Lampton Road.

Coaching will be available every Sunday from 10am to midday for the next 50 weeks thanks to national sports charity Tennis for Free, which is serving up the sessions in conjunction with Get Active Hounslow and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

Hounslow Council leader Steve Curran said: "Whether you're aspiring to be Andy Murray or simply want to enjoy tennis with your children, these sessions are a fun way to get playing and get fitter at the same time.

"They take place every Sunday at our eight courts in the beautiful surroundings of Lampton Park so we are keen to encourage as many people as possible to sign up now for this latest, exciting Get Active Hounslow initiative."
