MORE than 160 people turned out for a woodland wander that raised thousands of pounds for charity.

Michael Sobell House hosted the trek, which set off from the hospice in Rickmansworth Road, Northwood.

Walkers embarked on either a three or seven-mile circular route that took them along the Grand Union canal and through nearby Bishops Wood.

A total of 165 people had signed up for the expedition and all did their supporters proud, the hospice said.

Sponsorship money is still rolling in but the total is expected to rise into the thousands of pounds.
