Fears are growing for the safety of two young women thought to have been snatched and bundled into a van in Brentford.

Eyewitnesses saw a terrifed woman with masking tape across her mouth being driven away in a maroon Ford Transit van on Friday afternoon in Albany Road.

Officers from Hounslow CID have now released CCTV images of the van which was driven by a white man with bushy grey hair.

A second woman was seen in the rear of the van and screams could be heard coming from the back.

The van drove off down Wilkes Rd and turned left on to the A315 (Brentford High Street) travelling east away from Brentford.

A police spokesman said: "We are urgently trying to trace the whereabouts of the two female passengers to ensure they are safe and well and would urge them or anyone with knowledge of them to contact us as soon as possible.

"Have you seen this van before? Does the driver match the description of someone you know?"

Anyone with information should call Hounslow CID on 020 8247 6160 or to remain anonymous Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
