A FURRY friend who lost her way home has been rescued by a Ealing woman who is helping to reunite the cat with her owners.

Nicola Jude of Craven Avenue, Ealing, was enjoying the first bout of summer sun over the Easter bank holiday weekend, when she heard yowling coming from outside.

She found a lost pure white cat and asked around to find out if anyone knew who she belonged too, but with no luck.

Miss Jude said: "My window was open and I could hear her crying. A few neighbours said they had seen her on the weekend but didn't recognise her as a local cat. I didn't want to leave her out overnight, so I took her in and fed her as she was a bit skinny and very hungry. And recently foxes have killed a few cats on our road."

Found on April 4, the caring 31-year-old resident has since provided the unamed cat a home, food and warmth. The next day, as a vet suggested, Nicola tried to put the cat out but she didn't want to go.

She has contacted the RSPCA, The National Pet Register and Cat Protection, but the five to six-year old cat who was not wearing a collar, has not been reported missing.

Nicola has also put up posters in the local area but as yet no one has come forward.

She added: "The cat is extremely affectionate and I'm sure she is someone's very loved pet it would be great to reunite her with her owners."
