Woman from West London arrested in connection with Syria terrorism enquiry

21-year-old questioned at a police station in London and later released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A 21 year old woman from Hayes was arrested on suspicion of failing to disclose information on Thursday, June 19, say West Midlands police.

She was detained by officers from the force's Counter Terrorism Unit under section 38(b) of the Terrorism Act, at an undisclosed location, then questioned at a police station in London and later released on police bail pending further enquiries.

The force says her arrest was as a result of an ongoing Birmingham-based, Syria-related investigation, in which two people have been charged.

They are due to appear at the Old Bailey in January next year.
