An elderly woman has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a train at Hounslow East station.

An elderly woman has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a train at Hounslow East station.

The woman - who is in her sixties - was struck by a westbound Piccadilly Line train at 6.44am this morning.

Police say they are not treating the incident as suspicious. The woman was taken to West Middlesex Hospital.

The line was suspended until 7.08am between Northfields and Heathrow.

There are currently severe delays because of a seperate security alert at Holloway Road.
