A woman was stabbed in Hayes yesterday afternoon.

She was air lifted to hospital by London's Air Ambulance.

Emergency services were called just before 6pm to reports of a stabbing at the Swallowfield Way Industrial Estate.

London Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews, a duty officer and a first responder.

Police also attended.

The industrial estate is home to many businesses, including Robert Dyas, Rymans and Capital Hair and Beauty.

Some warehouse staff have been told to go home this morning as the area is cordoned off.

Forensic officers are working at the car park outside Unit 5, which is shared by Robert Dyas and Ryman staff, according to a one worker.

The woman's age and condition is unknown.

The incident comes just two months after a knife attack in a Hayes park, in which a man was slashed in the face and stabbed in the buttock.

More as we get it.
