A HOTEL worker killed in a crash involving four vehicles in West Drayton last week was in the car with two colleagues.

Irene Valverde-Martinez, 30, was the front seat passenger in a Vauxhall Astra that was in a collision with three other cars in Sipson Road on April 10.

She died in hospital that evening.

Mrs Valverde-Martinez was reception/duty manager at Ibis London Heathrow Airport Hotel, in Bath Road, Hayes.

A spokesman for Accor, the hotel group which runs the Ibis Heathrow, said in a statement: "We can confirm that three employees of the Ibis Hotel London Heathrow were involved in a car accident near West Drayton on April 10.

"Very sadly one of our employees died in the accident. We are in contact with their family to provide whatever support we can at this difficult time. "Another employee [aged 23] remains in hospital in stable condition, and the third was treated for minor injuries and released the following day.

"Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the individuals involved. This is a difficult time for colleagues, and we are providing appropriate support to them."

Mrs Valverde-Martinez lived in High Street, Harlington.

The inquest was opened and adjourned at West London Coroner's Court yesterday (Tuesday, April 15). No provisional cause of death was given.

Traffic officers continue to appeal for witnesses to the accident.

The two drivers of the other vehciles caught up in the incident suffered minor injuries. It is believed the fourth vehicle was stationary.
