ANOTHER tortoise has gone missing, just weeks after a pair of the creatures were stolen from a Feltham tourist attraction.

Linda Hay is convinced her beloved pet 'Baby' was taken from her home in St George's Road, Hanworth, last month.

She fears the same culprits who stole a pair of 90-year-old tortoises from nearby Hounslow Urban Farm, in Faggs Road, Feltham, could be responsible.

Fred and Frieda, who are 90 years old and had never been separated before, were taken from the farm on March 28 and have still not been found.
Baby disappeared about a month later, at the beginning of May, and Ms Hay is growing increasingly worried for the welfare of the 35-year-old large Hermann's tortoise.

"Baby was abducted a few years ago from my home in Teddington but I got her back after an appeal in the paper," said the 61-year-old mother-of-four, a former sales assistant at Marks and Spencer in Kingston.

"I can't bear being without Baby. I've had her for 30 years and she's like part of the family. I would appeal to whoever took her, or anyone who may have seen her, to return her."

If you know anything about Baby's disappearance, please contact the Chronicle and we will put you in touch with Ms Hay.
