Woman critical after violent robbery

A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital following a violent robbery in Hayes yesterday (Tuesday).

A WOMAN was airlifted to hospital following a violent robbery in Hayes yesterday (Tuesday).

The woman, believed to be in her late 50s or early 60s was mugged at 2.40pm in Yeading Lane.

She was wearing her bag over her shoulder but was assaulted and knocked to the ground and had to be airlifted to Charing Cross Hospital.

Ambulance crews and police attended and the woman is now on life support.
