A woman has been charged with the murders of a man and a child in Notting Hill.

The 36-year-old was arrested on Friday (February 27) and was charged on Monday(March 2) with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

The bodies of a man, believed to be in his 40s, and a four-year-old girl were found in a flat in Colville Square just before 8pm on Friday.

Their identities have not yet been publicly released but next of kin have been informed.

A post-mortem was carried out on the man on Sunday (March 1) but the cause of death is still under investigation and further tests are being carried out.

The child’s post-mortem is due to be carried out on Wednesday (March 4) at Great Ormond Hospital and the Met has said it will not comment on how the injuries were sustained until the cause of both deaths has been established.

The woman appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (March 3) and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday (March 5).
