Police are set to scour the streets of Kenton tonight in the hope of finding witnesses to Molly Morgan's murder.

It is a week ago tonight that the 81-year-old was mugged and dragged to the floor in Streatfield Road, Kenton, and officers are keen to talk to people who travel through the surrounding streets at the same time each week.

They will be stopping traffic and speaking to people in the area between 6pm and 9pm as well as leafleting more than 42,000 people in nearby roads.

DCI Jessica Wadsworth said: "Doing this may help us find vital witnesses. We have had some response but I don't think it's proportionate with the people I feel could have seen something.

"It's been a painstaking enquiry, going through a lot of material but we have got a few more ideas of what happened.

"However, it's never too late to come forward, and even if you don't think you saw anything we still want to hear from you."
