Three people were arrested yesterday after a gang of thieves snatched a money-filled cash box from the hands of a security guard in Willesden.

The robbery took place at 9.40am in Walm Lane, as the guard walked back to his armoured vehicle after filling up the box.

An off-duty PCSO witnessed the heist and was able to give officers a description of the get away car.

Shortly after, two men both aged 23 and male youth, aged 16 were arrested in Mount Pleasant Road.

They are being questioned at a north London police station by officers from the Flying Squad.
