A Conservative candidate for Harrow West has been left red faced after she forgot where she was standing for.

Political rivals enjoyed a giggle at her expense yesterday, after noticing that campaign literature posted through the doors of homes in the constituency had a rather gaping typo.

The leaflet read: "Hannah David: A record of action in [INSERT NAME]"

Mrs David will be challenging Gareth Thomas, Labour's MP for Harrow West, in next year's general election.

Gareth Thomas told getwestlondon: "If the Tories can't even write their own leaflets properly, there is little chance of them being able to sort out the shortage of beds at Northwick Park, prevent future cuts to our police or win a fair funding deal for Harrow's public services."

Mrs David has been contacted for comment.
