Comedians will help raise money for a cancer support centre, and so can you.

The Comedy Bunker in Ruislip has teamed up with the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre (LJMC) at Mount Vernon Hospital to present a stand up night with an impressive bill including comedian Simon Evans and radio star Tom Deacon.

BBC Radio 1 DJ Tom won the Chortle Student Comedian Award in 2007 and has appeared on The Rob Brydon Show and Dave’s One Night Stand.

We all know how to wrap up and protect ourselves from the colder weather, but how does nature cope when winter comes?

Find out how different species act as cold winds, snow and frosts set in on a walk around a borough park.

The event, which is organised by A Rocha UK, the Christian charity working to protect and restore the natural world, will teach you to appreciate all that nature has to offer during the winter months.

Hot chocolate and cake will be served after the short walk and there will also be craft activities on offer as well as the opportunity to find out about the art of bee keeping. Wear suitable warm clothing, including outdoor shoes and wet-weather clothing if
necessary.
