THE boys of West Drayton Explorers under-sevens blues completed a daunting fixture just the other day - singing to the throngs of Christmas shoppers in The Chimes shopping centre.

The lads, all aged just six and seven years old, have been working very hard as a team from the age of five and have really jelled, according to team representative, Lee Wheelwright, who together with team manager Jonathan Rowlands and the boys' families helped swell the singing.

This season, their record is an impressive 10 wins from 13 games so far - and they got a good result at the Uxbridge High Street shopping centre too, raising £283 for a day out for players and families.

The lineup for the fixture: George Wheelwright, Tyler Murray, Roshan Dhamu, Lewis Kennedy, William Dunster, George Rowlands, Laine Merridan, Dylan Mahi and Dillon Watson.

The team is sponsored by John Guest, the plumbing supplies company of Horton Road, West Drayton.
