Barclays has teamed up with the Uxbridge Gazette Series to give a local charity the opportunity to win cash to help it fulfill its dreams.

It is offering a first prize of £1,000 and two runner up prizes of £500 in the 2008 Let's Do It community awards.

Whether you know of a charity that you think deserves the money, or are involved with an organisation yourself, this is the chance to really make a difference.

To enter, simply write on the coupon on this page the details of the charity, what it does, where it is, why it deserves the award and what it would spend the money on. Please be very specific about how the money would be used.

Clip the coupon and send it to: Let's Do It 2008, Uxbridge Gazette, 28 Bakers Road, Uxbridge UB8 1RG.

You may submit one additional A4 sheet (typed or printed) supporting your nomination.

Please note that this must be a regis-tered charity or not for profit organisation.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Monday, October 6. Shortlisted entrants will be advised during October with the award ceremony taking place in November.
