Fifteen babies born at Northwick Park Hospital will share the same birthday as the newly arrived Prince of Cambridge.

As the royal baby’s parents were telling the world how emotional they felt at the birth of their son, similar feelings ran through the maternity ward of the hospital in Watford Road, Harrow.

On Monday, July 22, at 8.42pm, a baby boy was born to parents Madhvi Ramgi, 29, and Nuno Maugi, 30, both of Ealing Road, Wembley.

The proud father, who works in a bar at Heathrow Airport, told the Observer: “It is an amazing feeling to know that our son was born on the same day as the royal baby. It makes us both very happy. I think it is a once in a lifetime experience.”

Their first born, who is yet to be named, came into the world weighing 4lb 6oz.

Nuno added: “My wife is doing okay and I am currently watching the updates on the news about the royal baby. We hadn’t planned to have the baby born on the same day, but we knew it was going to be a boy.”

The Royal Mint is giving babies born on the same day as the future monarch a royal welcome by presenting them with a silver penny struck with the year of their birth.

Another happy couple looking forward to receiving their coin are Vasile and Simida Utale (pictured), whose baby boy was born at 9pm on Monday. He weighed 8lb 12oz and is happy and healthy.

Vasile, 34, of Northway, Kingsbury said: “We are obviously really happy to have our son, we had no idea it was going to be at the same time as the royal baby, but it was really nice.”

Consultant midwife Trixie McAree said: “A new life is always special and we were delighted that 15 babies were born at Northwick Park in time to share the new prince’s birthday. Their parents and families will never forget that day.”
