Brent Council is debating whether to postpone a planning meeting about the Wembley Academy scheduled for next month.

The discussions come a day after residents complained to the council for not putting revised plans about the school on its website which is part of the consultation process.

It means people would have been given less time to offer their views on the controversial proposals than they were told in letters which were sent out on Friday.

A Brent Council spokeswoman said: "We apologise it has taken a couple of days longer than expected to get the consultation documents online.

"Although we advise a 14 day consultation period we are happy to add residents' comments to this supplementary report as long as we receive them before April 3.

"The report will then be considered be elected members at committee currently planned for April 7. However, we have had requests to postpone the meeting to give people longer to consult over the plans."
