Hammersmith and Fulham Council is at loggerheads with neighbouring Wandsworth borough over plans to close Putney Bridge for six months.

Wandsworth favours closing the bridge in both directions for repairs to be carried out a cost of £1.5million, but H&F wants it to remain open with a single lane of traffic, even though this would cost Wandsworth’s taxpayers an extra £350,000.

Councillor Nicholas Botterill, leader of H&F, said it would be a "disaster" if this main route into and out of Hammersmith were closed. But what do you think?
