A BOGUS charity collector has conned Meadow House Hospice out of much-needed funds by selling raffle tickets door-to-door.

The scam came to light after the man, in his 50s with grey hair, happened to sell tickets to a member of staff at her home in Westcott Crescent, Hanwell.

He had a clipboard with a copy of Rotary headed paper and a book of cloakroom tickets which he was selling at £1 for a strip of five.
