POLICE are trying to extradite a man in Poland arrested over the murder of a woman in West Kensington last month.

Officers were called to a home in Comeragh Road on February 5 following concerns over the welfare of a resident. They discovered the body of 34-year-old Michelle Creed, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem examination took place three days later but police are waiting on further results before confirming a cause of death.

On February 9, Polish detectives arrested a 36-year-old man in Warsaw on suspicion of murder. Subsequently, a European Arrest Warrant was obtained and the suspect remains in custody as extradition proceedings to bring him back to the UK continue.

Officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating.
