A section of wall has crashed on to a pavement in a road used heavily by Brunel University students.

The pile of rubble topped with barbed wire and a metal post, and still attached to a tall, wooden gate, was spotted early on Tuesday (14) in Whitehall Road, Uxbridge.

The road is one of the main walking routes between the town centre and Brunel University's campus. Dozens of people pass the spot every day.

It is not known when the section of the wall which surrounds a small yard in which a car was parked, and behind which is a garage, toppled over, but there were high winds the previous evening.
