A FIFTH day of air travel disruption is underway as the ash cloud from Iceland's volcano shows no signs of abating.

A test flight was held from Heathrow Airport yesterday (Sunday) with BA putting chief executive Willie Walsh on board to test conditions.

As many as one million Brits are believed to be stranded abroad by the blanket ban on air travel which is now in place across most of Europe.
