Childhood memories came back to life thanks to a Thomas the Tank Engine extravaganza over the weekend.

The sold out event on Saturday (20) and Sunday (21) hosted by the London Museum of Water and Steam in Brentford, welcomed nearly 1,000 guests who were given the chance to meet Thomas the Tank Engine and the Fat Controller.

Families with pre-booked tickets, were able to have a meet and greet with Thomas throughout the day, with surprise visits from the Fat Controller every now and then.

Most of the families who attended were new to the museum and fascinated by how much the place could offer.

The weekend long event was filled with activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Activities included a chance to ride on the museum's own steam locomotive, create and design your own driver cap as well as water play in the Splash Zone.

A pop up cafe was also open during the day in the Splash Zone serving both drinks and snacks for all.
