MP John Randall was optimistic about the future of Uxbridge High Street, during a visit to a busy weekly market.

The Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP met traders selling their wares at Uxbridge Craft Market, which is on every Wednesday in the Pavilions shopping centre.

Mr Randall, when quizzed about whether Uxbridge town centre had more potential, said that high streets around the UK were suffering because they are all the same, and the market was a good example of something a bit different for shoppers in his constituency.

Mr Randall has a vested interest in the prosperity of the town, of course, as five generations of his family have own and run Randalls department store in Vine Street, since the late 19th century.
